9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYes, this school has switched principals in the last few years, but I don't think it's had any impact on the quality of the school. what I mean is, I don't think the switching of administrators has had a detrimental affect on the students. My daughter LOVES it here and the academics are wonderful. Previously she was in the Keller ISD, which was just okay. This district is far and above, better than what she as in. I saw one other post complained about bullying. I personally haven't had that problem. I don't think Vandagriff has issues that any other elementary school doesn't have with kids picking on other kids. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDecent academics and college readiness programs, but absolutely atrocious community if you aren't a part of the "in crowd". Although it is common for high schoolers to be somewhat catty and vindictive, the school district does nothing to curb this behavior. Those who report bad behavior are treated the same as those who commit the behavior in the first place, and so long as you are a part of the school's sports team, it is guaranteed that there will be little repercussions for your actions. I still get extreme levels of anxiety entering the building despite having graduated a year and a half ago. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMcAnally is the best school I have ever seen. The administration and teachers obviously love children and come to work everyday motivated to make a difference in the life of a child. They prepare children not only academically, but also socially. They teach leadership, teamwork and responsibility better than anyone. My kids came through there more confident, better able to handle diversity and better able to relate to children and especially adults. I really appreciate their holistic approach. I also like how involved the administration is. Whenever I had a kid have a conflict with a child or teacher, it was obvious the administrators knew my child and treated them fairly. I wish the rest of the district would take note as to what McAnally is doing. The only thing that I have heard about that McAnally could improve upon is their Special Education Programs. "Good neighborhood and w would recommend it to multiple family members and friends as I have lived here for many years. Even in my earlier childhood, you could say that this is the place that you would want to raise a little family. The houses are pretty old, but they are very well-maintained and not too close together. There is a well-rounded community here as well as my kids have grown up here and made many many friends. Would you say that you would be interested in letting your friends live in a very safe environment or neighborhood or would you rather them live with a community that no one speaks to each other or allows them to go to the park and play or ride bikes it’s just all around well together neighborhood."
