5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePersonally I struggled with anxiety and had to drop the first year, the school offered me an evaluation after going to school for a couple months. Then a semester passed and my anxiety, once again, returned and I didnt go to school. Instead of doing the evaluation or ANY sped tests they sent me to court. It wasn't until after I dropped again to do the evaluation. My very close friend has also shared their experiences with me; many teachers ignore or deny them their 504 plan accommodations, today his summer school teacher kicked him out of the class because he "wasn't going to finish in time" (a test) and told him to stop doing notes that he needed to do more quizzes to bring his grade up. not just this teacher are like this, almost every class either of us had the teachers would be rude if you weren't passing or needed help. They would insist you didnt have the plan unless you went and brought the paper stating you did, and they'd get annoyed and only follow once you report it. The piano teacher also made sure my friend couldn't use his headphones or phone in the class (apart of the 504 along with his phone.) Then go out of their way to embarrass and shame him for not knowing answers and would only pick on him for questions. The art teacher would also make him clean and got mad when he drew or literally just sat there. This school couldn't give a singular care in the world if you had a 504 or any other type of accommodation.Other Review9mo ago - Escontrias Early Child Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has been a good school and my son has learned a lot with the teachers he has had so far. The staff is courteous and well mannered. I however would love for so many of the parents to learn from this example as well. Parents are disrespectful and do not always follow guidelines. Drop off and pick up times are a mess and this is due mainly to adults not following rules. They park wherever its "convenient" for them so that they don't have to walk with no regards for anyone else around them. People do not follow the speed limit warnings and all this just makes what should be a normal experience into such a headache.Parent Review11y ago - Mission Early College High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a senior at Mission Early College High School. My main concern with MECHS is the incessant push to attend UTEP. It is apparent that going to another university is discouraged. I have also found a problem with some of the teachers. Most teachers at MECHS are extremely dedicated to their students. However, there are a handful of teachers that do not care and do a very poor job at teaching. One time, I had a final exam that was prepared and graded by a teacher's hand-picked group of favorites. Worse, the office did nothing about it. At MECHS, teachers have authority, and the office does not engage in the affairs of the classroom. So in reality, teachers are left to their own devices. What I find most worrisome about MECHS is the have, have-not divide between the students. Those who graduated EPCC early and are enrolled in UTEP their senior year are heavily favored and are given blatant special treatment. However, despite the negatives, this school attempts to blend the structure of high school with the freedoms of college. The administration respects and trusts the students. Overall, this school is overhyped, but it has some very bright spots.Student Review13y ago - William D Slider Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe worst elementary!!!! The staff has lack of communication with the parents and on top of that they have attitude when when you try and keep in contact with them regarding your child’s education. I lost track of how many issues I’ve had just within 1 school year. They will not be returning backParent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 1830 Shreya St.

"Most dog walkers are friendly and respectful picking up after their dogs. The neighborhood works well together when an owners dog gets loose. We have beautiful parks, mountains with great trails for walking. There are dog groomers and pet stores available. So many neighbors have picked up stray dogs, brought them to get checked for a chip so that they can be reunited with their families."
