The fighting is off the charts as they have social media pages dedicated to the fighting at spruce high school. They don't contact the parents when this happens unless they are sending them home. They flunked my son in 1st grade cause they had little to go on,seeing as we moved from another state. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible! My son is suspended for things all of the other "kids" are doing up there anyway. It feels that the staff is tired and just has given up! They didn't even stop 4 girls cussing each other out this morning while the assistant principal just walked by. Never before have I felt so strongly against a school and their "system". I understand this is a "DISD" school but this is the worst I've even seen. We are actively looking for a way out even if it ends up being home school.Parent Review9y ago

"by car, highways, main roads accessible and lit but some areas are dark due to lesser traffic. 635 and 175 are accessible expressway options to get around to other nearby cites like Mesquite, Garland and Downtown Dallas. "

"Some areas are quiet with families. A lot has changed with growth and improvements. Most home owners with 20 years plus in my area and everyone seems to watch out for each other. "

"alot of houses don't have fences so there is alot of open yard and sometimes there might be a few dogs walking around so it depends if you take it as a good or bad thing"
