"Lakewood is a lovely, family area. The proximity to White Rock Lake cannot be beat. The houses are a mixture of old and new, with established trees and great for walking or jogging if you are close to the lake especially. The neighborhood has tennis courts, parks, and easy access to Whole Foods, a few smaller restaurants, and shopping. The crime is very low for a big-city suburb/in-city neighborhood. "

"Having lived on this lake for 40 years, I can say that has developed into one of the truly great areas to live in from the point of view of being beautiful, healthy, recreational, and friendly. For folks that love the outdoors there no place better in the city of Dallas. "

"This is an ideal location. Close to Mockingbird, Close to Lovers and Close to Northwest Highway. It is centrally located in the middle of all of them but yet tucked away into a quiet pocket that is walking distance to White Rock Lake and Lakewood Park. Every morning and evening you will see neighbors out walking and jogging. Super-convenient for cycling enthusiasts too. The neighborhood has only gotten better in the time since we first moved here. They are building some new homes which is increasing everyone's property value. Some of the houses have BIG yards. You will love this neighborhood. There is something for everyone here."
