6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave had nothing but problems with my daughters teacher I've let it go the last 6 weeks thinking things might change but unfortunately it's getting worse I've never met such a whiny teacher before! 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school district wastes resources at a level that is criminal. They built a beautiful natatorium but the rest of the school looks like a prison camp. Their priorities are out of whack. They complain as an administration that student cell phone use is out of control but yet they won’t set a policy against their use. It’s a very sad state of affairs at Flour Bluff. Not satisfied at all in this districtParent Review6y ago - Flour Bluff J High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageConsidering the diversity of social, economic, and educational levels, I find that Flour Bluff does a wonderful job of reaching every child. The teachers are very kind, reaching out to kids in a way that captivates and interests them in he subject. The school work is relatively challenging in the upper-level classes, but it's nothing a hard-working kid can't handle. Academics is very emphasized and promoted, UIL Math and English challenges never failing to make the morning announcements even if some athletics miss out. Over all, my experience as a student at this school has been wonderful and I think the people, staff, and teachers are great!Other Review12y ago - Flour Bluff Primary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is severely understaffed and the classes are overcrowded. There are not enough certified teachers to teach core subjects. As such, they regularly utilize long-term substitutes for core classes. The students are rude and misbehaved (I have witnessed this in a classroom and being told by my student and even the teachers have agreed). They need to institute a required program that focuses on student behavior that lasts the entire year, not just a few times when the one and only counselor has to visit the class because of poor student behavior. They also need to institute more discipline for the students that continue to be disrespectful and rude in class. It might even help to have teacher's aides in the school for a while at least until they get the behavior back to where it should be. We have not enjoyed this year. Having said all of that, I decided to write this review in hopes that they can turn it around for future years, not just to complain.Parent Review11mo ago - Early Childhood Center

"I’m only 15 minutes from everything important! Restaurants, theaters, and work is all within a few minutes drive, but the bluff is great cause it’s just far enough out of the city for seclusion, but close enough to everything you need! You get the quiet, privacy of the outer city limits, with the convenience of the city being only a few miles away."

"Ive lived in Flour Bluff for over 10 years and without reservations, I would recommend relocating working families to give Flour Bluff serious consideration. You are 10-15 minutes from shopping/downtown and 10-15 minutes from the coast. You have a variety of neighborhoods to chose from: Homes on canals, planned communities,1 acre lots, 10 acre estates and cattle/horse ranches. FB schools are consistently award winners in academics and atheletics. Many students are enrolled from out of district. The previous posts about roaming animals, traffic and crime could be said about any City, anytime. we dont see it because we avoid it. If you plan to live in Corpus, the Bluff is perhaps one of the best kept secrets of south Texas... but the secret is getting out. "
