3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur kids love going to Tascosa High School! The teachers make a strong effort to connect with the students, and my children each have clicked with a teacher mentor who have helped guide them in decisions that are important for their current and future growth and success. Par excellence is the only way to describe their orchestra and band programs, which includes a wonderful Christmas dinner concert for families and friends that is highly entertaining and memorable. As far as academics, the teachers have pushed our kids to do their very best. We have appreciated the administration and staff's flexibility and help with the kids' schedules to ensure they are able to take all the courses they require for their future studies and college applications. Also, the Tascosa Rebel football team are #1 in the state this year! It is such a diverse student body, we have seen that most students find their people and place at THS.Parent Review1y ago - Amarillo Area Center For Advanced Lrn

"In Amarillo it is very common for dogs to be stolen from back yards. People mark your fence during the day then come back at night or when no one is there and steal the dogs for dog fighting/money. As long as you make sure your dogs are never outside when no one is home or at night it should be okay. Just be cautious. "

"Good walking area, 4 parks within walking distance. Downtown is right up the street. Because the Salvation Army is just on the other side of downtown we do get the random weirdo both in the alley and snooping around at night. I personally have only had 2 issues iin 2 years. 1 was someone about to steal a package from my porch. The other was was people parking in the alley in front of my garage. My dogs love to walk in the neighborhood. Harrison st is notorious for having it’s residence blocking the walkway. "
