8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school in this state. They single out the children with disabilities and they play favorites. They dont believe in second chances. They are bougie around they are rubbing the fact they get olive garden for teachers, what do the kids get? Ice cream thats it on fridays. If your not someone's favorite there they will single you out, if you dont believe me.. ask a child with disabilities whos not a favorite there. Sometimes my kid doesnt want to go to school because her teacher doesn't understand her or isn't patient with her because of her disabilityParent Review8mo ago - Oak Ridge High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOak Ridge High School has done everything right during COVID. They provided distance learning in March 2020, socially-distanced summer school in June and July. They opened on a hybrid schedule in August to keep children and staff safe. They had to make hard choices like limiting attendance for events or doing those events online. They also gave families the option for 100% online schooling. Teachers have been video teaching on Wednesdays for students who are struggling and they gave grade amnesty for students to make up work for past terms when if it became overwhelming. AVID teachers reached out to parents and students regularly, and the counseling department worked tirelessly at supporting students who struggle with mental health. The school gave free lunch AND breakfast to all students, and the school has a pantry to help families who were in need with things like extra groceries, school supplies and cleaning supplies. We couldn't have asked for a better group of teachers, staff and administrators. This has been hard on EVERYONE, but these folks have gone above and beyond to help their students and their families.Parent Review3y ago - Robertsville Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has so miserably failed my son. I loved his instructors as a whole and they, for the most part, were accommodating and helpful but the school as a whole suck. This school is teaching our kids that they are not to think without the use of electronics. They are teaching them that they can't do anything without the required use of computers to do so. Growing up, my father was instrumental I the creation of computers and I, myself, have acquired multiple degrees through the use of online learning so I understand the value of using computers as a tool. However, this school is not teaching the kids to use computers as a tool but as a necessity of life. My son is a very visual learner with ADHD and requires teaching techniques that do not require computers which can easily create a distraction all on its own. As a result, I attempted to restrict his computer usage only to be told that they are required for learning at this school. Therefore I restricted his usage to that of on school only. The distractions of the computer and their inability to control the distractions led to them continuously complaining about him not adhering to the policies of computer usage. Yet when he and I both complained about his failing grades because he was lost in his classes and his grades were failing, they did nothing but told him to work harder. At the end of the year, my sons report card had so many f's on it that I have no choice but to homeschool him to correct what they failed to teach him! The worst part? They passed him anyway! It just goes to show me that he's nothing but a dollar sign to them! Even now, with him doing summer school while I get the homeschooling situation lined up, he's being bullied by a kid twice his size and nobody does anything about it. I will NEVER recommend this school! From my experience, the teachers are great, but the school is all talk. Go rams! I should've known better just by their mascot .... rams are male sheep ... not able to think for themselves and quite bullish.Parent Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 103 Briar Rd.
