4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving attended myself and having had four children attend this school. I can honestly say they could be one of the worst high schools overall, in the entire county ( which is a feat). The teachers have always been decent but the administrators are consistently horrible.I have never been treated with any respect nor common decency. From the principal to the office staff. Only the teachers have been decent. They seemingly get worse every year and in my experience do not take students nor visitors safety as seriously as they do their cronyism.Their support for higher learning involves being a book burner to shake the hands of students that win awards oddly enough for excelling in academics. Why would a book burner be the proper one to congratulate hard working students?Parent Review7mo ago - Northwest Middle School

"The city as a whole has becoming increasingly “sketchy” throughout. It still has good parts but even those areas are not as good as what they were 8 years ago. I’d suggest doing some strong research."

"Someone tried to break into our house once while we were home. And raccoons tear up our garbage bins every week. Lots of homeless people waking around and speeding cars "
- Danyel Henley

"We live on the water and we get to see a lot of boats/yachts go by. We are also close to campus so there is still a youthful vibe to the neighborhood. Knoxville has some of the best sunsets around, and being so close to downtown has made it easy to socialize. I would recommend better access to public transportation, but aside from that, this is a lovely place to live."
