4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter leaving a private school setting for public school, we have been pleased .I think the key to any school is parent involvement. Carter has Honors classes and promotes academics and community as long as the student and parents participate and support. As with anything, you get out of it what you put into it.Parent Review4y ago - Carter Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible. The staff here does not even care about what happens. People get bullied because of their race and sexuality. If you don’t act a certain way you are not “popular”. The lunch is terrible, they don’t even try to make good food. The principals are way too strict. The cell phone policy is not fair, last year we were allowed to have them at lunch, but now we can’t. There is no fun or jokes in this school, its all just serious education. We only get 3 minutes to switch classes, which causes a lot of people to be late and get silent lunch. The lockers are small, you have to buy your own charger if you get an ipad from the school. This school in general is just terrible.Student Review5y ago - Sunnyview Primary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter is finishing 2nd grade at Sunnyview Primary within the next few weeks. We feel that she has been given an excellent start in her education. Ms. Upton has proven herself to be an excellent Principal and all of our daughter's teachers were excellent. We very much appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Sunny View teachers and staff. We will miss you.Parent Review5y ago - Chilhowee Intermediate School

"The city as a whole has becoming increasingly “sketchy” throughout. It still has good parts but even those areas are not as good as what they were 8 years ago. I’d suggest doing some strong research."

"Someone tried to break into our house once while we were home. And raccoons tear up our garbage bins every week. Lots of homeless people waking around and speeding cars "
- Danyel Henley

"We live on the water and we get to see a lot of boats/yachts go by. We are also close to campus so there is still a youthful vibe to the neighborhood. Knoxville has some of the best sunsets around, and being so close to downtown has made it easy to socialize. I would recommend better access to public transportation, but aside from that, this is a lovely place to live."
