3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally awful place for neurodivergent children. They avoided giving my child an IEP for two years, and then were surprised when bad behaviors (which we had warned them about extensively and were due to disorders and trauma) were displayed. Instead of offering support, they gave detention and screamed at my child, as if that would help. Really awful experience. They are not suited to help children who need extra attention or care. Parents beware.Parent Review8mo ago - Karns High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving attended myself and having had four children attend this school. I can honestly say they could be one of the worst high schools overall, in the entire county ( which is a feat). The teachers have always been decent but the administrators are consistently horrible.I have never been treated with any respect nor common decency. From the principal to the office staff. Only the teachers have been decent. They seemingly get worse every year and in my experience do not take students nor visitors safety as seriously as they do their cronyism.Their support for higher learning involves being a book burner to shake the hands of students that win awards oddly enough for excelling in academics. Why would a book burner be the proper one to congratulate hard working students?Parent Review7mo ago - Karns Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShame on you karns middle school for not following through with the dress code equally to all GENDERS!!! If it is not ok for boys to wear pajama pants then it eaually is not ok for all the girls to run around in booty shorts! ALL DRESS CODE SHOULD BE EQUAL! If you are going to say something to a boy for pjs you need to bring that same energy for the girls exposing parts of their privates (cause none of those shorts are mid thigh if you can see butt cheeks hanging out) to mutiple teachers and staff members and other children all day long! Karns middle school will catch pjs coming through the door immediately first thing coming in during the morning but let girls walk around them all day long around mutiple adults for example: 7 different teachers daily, office staff, janitors, cafeteria workers, resource officers. And still they have the nerve to say those shorts somehow miraculously go unnoticeable all day long? SHAME ON YOU SEXIST KARNS MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 1702 Woodpointe Dr.

"The city as a whole has becoming increasingly “sketchy” throughout. It still has good parts but even those areas are not as good as what they were 8 years ago. I’d suggest doing some strong research."

"Someone tried to break into our house once while we were home. And raccoons tear up our garbage bins every week. Lots of homeless people waking around and speeding cars "
- Danyel Henley

"We live on the water and we get to see a lot of boats/yachts go by. We are also close to campus so there is still a youthful vibe to the neighborhood. Knoxville has some of the best sunsets around, and being so close to downtown has made it easy to socialize. I would recommend better access to public transportation, but aside from that, this is a lovely place to live."
