8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from CA after the 2021 pandemic schoolyear. The teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to help our kids catch up. There is empathy, patience, and personal connection here that just isn't present in other states. I haven't been to any other schools in the local area yet but can confirm our family is having an extremely positive experience at this elementary school. The teachers care and our kids are learning. Our kids enjoy going to school!Parent Review2y ago - Franklin High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCurrently, I am going through the 7th grade and to be honest it matters what teachers you get. Sometimes you get teachers who barely interact with students and only show some notes to copy down (Dr. Milliam) while others will try to look through the perspective of students and ask for feedback on how they are teaching. There is a good share of good and bad teachers at the school but overall there are teachers that are doing their job how they should. The only problem that I feel affects certain students and their mental health is that the counselors will not listen to what students have to say sometimes and won't work on making sure that students are not being harassed. Same thing with some teachers, they won't do anything about it unless brought up.On the other hand, there is a great band and orchestra program for those who want to try it out for 6th graders or if you are moving schools and want to continue with your instrument. In terms of sexism or racism, there is practically none. Though in PE there is sexism from the coaches (not sure if it is something from the district) during pacer tests girls only have to do 40 while boys have to do 61. When there is basketball there are a bunch of rules to "try to get everyone involved" which say that you need to pass to a girl and back before shooting plus girls' points are double. In terms of punishments, there is a strike system where if you get 3 strikes you get detention and 4 strikes is ISS (in-school suspension) Just be safe and try to get along with people.Student Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 111 Daniel McMahon Ln.

"Lots of other dog families, close to large open field by the library and enrichment center, some sidewalks down Battle. Dislikes: lots of traffic and speeding on battle, houses close to the road, closest dog park would be Pinkerton Park or Harlinsdale"

"Very little compared to other cities. Most of the traffic is just in between 8 and 8:30. Does not last for three hours like other places I’ve lived. "

"Nice neighborhood friendly folks. Close to major shopping and lots of open space. Would highly recommend this area however the prices for homes are outrageously overpriced "

"Only 20 minutes to downtown Nashville, the airport and walking distance to Historic Downtown Franklin and The Factory. Incredible Main Street with boutique shops, restaurants, art studios and entertainment. Five minutes to the regional Cool Springs Galleria Mall. "

"This area is close to downtown Franklin. It is in walking distance. Easy access to grocery, drugstore, coffee shops, shopping downtown Franklin and Cool Springs..."

"This location is nearly perfect for any lifestyle. There is numerous venues for shopping, dining and entertainment mostly within a 5-10 minutes car ride and its only 30 minutes for all Nashville has to offer. The schools are top rated in the US every year. There are numerous well maintained parks nearby, including two dog parks that dogs can run freely inside a designated area. The community events in Franklin and surrounding areas seem to be never ending and they are very creative and diverse, There are too many churches of every denomination to even list a number. There are around 3-4 live show theaters in Franklin alone and others nearby. People walk and jog through the neighborhoods on a regular basis and there are other fitness locations such as rock climbing, yoga and martial arts studios everywhere. "

"Moved into this area a little over a year ago. I was a first time home buyer and have fallen in love with the area! I plan on staying in the area for many years to come and eventually raise a family here. The people are just so nice! Also, its very convenient living so close to the charming downtown Historic Franklin. Not to mention I am only 2 minutes from The Factory which is a wonderful shopping district that features many wonderful stores, restaurants, weekly farmers market, and much more! Overall I think this is a great area for first time home buyer or the family looking for a area to call home. "
