5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst school I have ever attended. I have experienced first hand racism by many students and teachers yet no one did anything about it. For example: I tried out for the volleyball team and I was the only person of color on the team. I was always sitting on the bench and never got any sort of play time. My mom wasn’t able to pick me up from practice on time one time and the coach told me if I could make it, just don’t come. The one time I didn’t come to practice, I was kicked off the team the next day. The coach made me feel like an outcast it has effected me greatly throughout my life.Other Review3y ago - Merriwether Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 children at Merriwether Elementary; both love it. I've worked closely with the administration and faculty because of my child's IEP (individual education plan for learning disabilities), and they have all been excellent at helping him with his goals. I would highly recommend this school.Parent Review6y ago - Strom Thurmond High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school. I was class of 2012 and really enjoyed my 4 years as a Rebel! Great teachers (for the most part) who really care about the students and love the subjects they teach. I would highly recommend Strom Thurmond to anyone.Student Review11y ago - Check out schools near 1254 Gregory Landing Dr.

"Dog park is relatively small and most dogs that go there are smaller breeds. Although you can walk your dog on the sidewalk there is a lot of busy roads. The best place to walk your dog is at North Augusta Greenway; paved trails and beautiful view."

"There is certain racial hostility here. Yes the area is somewhat “diverse” but there are still some racial issues that I see everywhere that I had to get used to when I moved here. So I’d suggest being cautious if you are a family of color moving here."

"This is a very safe and family oriented city. Neighborhood stead are always well kept, neighbors are always friendly and houses are beautiful. The cost of living in North Augusta is low with property taxes being affordable, and this was one of the factors that appealed to us. House prices are average comparing to neighboring cities like Evans and Martinez in Augusta, GA. There is significant new construction in the area, specially off of Exits 1 and 5 on I-20. Downtown restaurant are great and varied and the new baseball park off the river is a great attraction. Downtown Augusta and all the night life is just minutes from North Augusta. Over all, North Augusta is a great place to live and raise a family."
