Description

This property is not currently for sale or for rent on Trulia. The description and property data below may have been provided by a third party, the homeowner or public records.
407 Dozier Street - one of the "youngest" homes in downtown Georgetown! Lovingly built in 1947 by a carpenter for his family, this property was built to last using the best materials such as solid cypress floor joists. The home features a large great room with a bay window, wood burning fireplace, and built-in bookcase. There are also solid wood doors and roll out windows throughout the home as well as maple hardwood floors. The large kitchen has ample cabinets, large double sinks and breakfast nook area. Separate formal dining room, laundry room, three bedrooms and one bathroom. Fencing around entire property and detached workshop/garage. This residence can perhaps be converted to a convenient downtown office space close to the County Courthouse. *Buyer is responsible for confirming square footage.
When I purchased this home in 2017 I put on a new roof, a new HVAC system, updated the plumbing and electrical, painted entire inside, took up all carpet and put on a garage door to name a few things!

"Very friendly area. I live in Georgetown county but outside of the city limits. I work for the hospital system. I find most people in the area are friendly and will offer help if asked. As we do also. "

"The public school system isn’t as desirable in our area. Our children attended private school. Medical institutions are easily accessible from dialysis, cardiac care to oncology. We are located centrally between Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Florence. Many restaurants and retail shopping available. "

"It’s a private and secluded beach where the world disappears. its quiet and beautiful with ocean sunrises and marsh sunsets. My only complaint is the new sand brought in for ‘renourishment’. It’s taken the soft sand, gentle on your feet and replaced it with large, jagged shells; impossible for walking. "
