Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from December 17, 2021
Wonderful custom Cat Island home on a large cul de sac lot. This home has multiple living spaces and many upgrades. Spray foam insulation throughout helps keep utility costs low and the well water irrigation system allows for lower cost landscaping. The professional kitchen has a six burner Thermador gas cooktop, commercial range hood and a built in deep fryer/steamer unit. All appliances are stainless steel and look great adjoining the custom cherry cabinets. The above cabinet lighting adds ambience to any kitchen entertaining and the adjacent butler's pantry has plenty of space for your entertaining needs including a wine refrigerator. There is a large "media" room on the first floor which is a blank slate for whatever the new owner would like to create. The room has large windows allowing for the great views of the lagoon, wildlife, firepit/gathering area, and golf course. The formal living room, dining, room, kitchen, and deck are on a second media zone allowing for total first floor acoustics and the main living area is already set up for a high level surround experience. The tiled wet bar in the main living room has wine racks, plenty of storage, and a custom bar sink and matches the gas fireplace with wall switch controlled fan and ignition. The side porch off the formal living room allows for taking in the breeze from the nearby Beaufort river. The vaulted ceiling in the foyer helps to enhance the already spacious floor plan.
The Jack and Jill bathroom between two of the spacious upstairs bedrooms allows for easier cleaning if raising little ones. The master bedroom, master bath, and office off the master bedroom have French doors to enter. The lighted tray ceilings in the master bath and bedroom allow for a relaxing master experience. The office has a custom built in work station and the sitting area off the master allows for the owner to sit, relax, and enjoy the backyard view and the majestic columns separating the rooms. The newly remodeled 4 x6 shower with custom rain head, newly tiled floors, and newly built coffee/entertainment center in the master bedroom will make the owner live casually in the upstairs retreat. The large master closet has plenty of room and boasts two large built in cubbies for all of your folded apparel.
The house is elevated and has a two car garage with an adjacent storage area that can also be used for golf cart storage as it has a dedicated golf cart outlet. Although elevated, the entire footprint is on slab allowing for tremendous storage under the house and deck. If that weren't enough the back deck is pre-wired for a hot tub and the front of the house is pre-wired for switch controlled landscape lighting.
The entire front entrance, the entire interior, the garage and the back deck and rails have just been professionally painted. New carpet has been selected and will be installed August 12th.
The home is located on the 15th green of the Cat Island Golf course. Owners have access to the community boat ramp just down the road with their paid property owners membership and can opt to join the Golf Club which recently updated their pool complex, driving range, and restaurant.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLady's Island schools should not be the first choice for anyone moving to the Beaufort area. Beaufort is for rich and retired persons who do not have children in the school system. Lady's Island schools pretend to be schools. They are filled with transient teachers who do not care about SC state schools because they are not native to the state. I am from the midlands and it was a shock to us all how backward the schools down here are and they don't care that they are so far behind most US districts. Teachers lay out of work, bully the children, do not care about parent involvement, and they change administration faster that the tides. Our superintendents come from out of state, then they leave to take another job out of the state. The low country is a dumping ground for teachers not wanted in their own states, then a stepping stone for those wanting to get experience without ties so they can leave as soon as they get their year in. Our kids are the ones who actually get left behind. This system is the reason SC is 49th in the country. The midlands and upstate schools are great. Here they are lacking a great deal and they know it, but they are not from SC so they don't care.Parent Review9y ago - Beaufort High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAlthough others may think the school system is good it’s not really all that good, as a current student the teachers don’t pay enough attention, the students fight, yell, kick, play, etc. and the teachers don’t do anything. There are some nice teachers but most of the teachers can get mean. One of the teachers shoved a student. There was a rat in the ceiling. They are currently missing a tile because of one of the students. The only thing really great are the guidance counselors. They actually care and helped me through a lot when i needed it so thanks to them. Other than that everything else is okay. I wouldn’t say the school is the safest, there’s a lot of violence and gang activities. The school is good at welcoming students and parents though. Some teachers are really good at what they do though. I wouldn’t recommend this school unless you were desperate.Student Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 133 Dolphin Point Dr.
