3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter just started Kindergarten. Her teacher is wonderful and works w her 1 on 1 despite a classroom of 30.She is quite "shy"so this is very important.I'm let down that they do not acknowledge the fast learners or gifted kids &don't allow kids to skip grades &more frustrating because the children have to be 5 by September for K.If your child has a winter birthday,he will be behind if you move out of district/state!The policy w not letting parents in is frustrating. My daughter is 5 &scared to eat breakfast & I can't even go in to help.I don't like not being able to "check in",makes me anxious like the school is not being honest.I know theres safety issues but incriminating parents isnt the answer.Communication btwn administration&parents is hostile, secretaries are rude.Ifyou try to walk your child in the staff in the front rush you out.At pickup there is a lot of ignorance mostly from older children:cursing, threats of violence pushing, shoving&smacking motions. The staff doesn't address these issues,it seems they are afraid of the kids! I hope they deal with these issues but we may not be returning next year. Luckily my kid has a wonderful teacher which makes us bear the rest.Parent Review10y ago - G A R Memorial Junior-Senior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagebullying, racism and evil increases daily, and the blame is neither on the victims nor on the attackers, the biggest problem is the school that doesn’t do the correct work and takes different measures in favor of the well being students, Mental health is affected in both students and parents because the school does nothing to help the victims of a problem, on the contrary, they harms them more, creating more problems in the lives of the students, there are never concrete solutions in benefit of students no matter what the situation is, children's behavior is affected in classes and in the education of students and also outside of school, fights after school are seen daily, ch the children create groups inside the school and leave the school to create disturbances, the core of all youth problems begins in the school and ends outside and the school does nothing at all, they don’t care about the problems that the students have to go through, the depression, anxiety, stress, it is reflected in the students in different ways, the behavior of the students good or bad it is because of the environment in which they are exposed, the children suffer and are crying out in different ways for help, and this school only hurts them more, the memories and experiences that most of the students have and will have for the rest of their lives in this school It is unpleasant, and they mold their minds trying to deceive themselves that nothing happened, but the reality is that more than one has and will have a bad memory of this school, which affects the future of the students, and remember the students are the future of this nation and they deserve to be treated as human beings, with love, respect and understanding, whatever the situation is , because in the end all are victims of a toxic environment which the school is not doing nothing to clean and improveParent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 258 S Hancock St.

"I live Here. There are no grocery stories in the area. It is unsafe to be out after the dusk or before dawn. My house was broken into. Neighbors don't look out for each other. Drugs are dealt right on the corner of Park and Lehigh and up on Hill St. The police don't do anything about it."

"Lovely, quiet neighborhood with nice views of the valley."
