5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have since improvement over the last couple of years. The new principal and teachers seem to be taking AG North in the right direction. Most of the teachers seem to take an interest in helping the students, but some struggling students seem to fall through the cracks. I feel that at least the students going into eighth grade should be able to have choices for the classes they will take the following year. Currently, they are given a schedule without any input on what they want or what interests them. By doing this, it may better prepare them for their transition to the high school and their future. I think it would also benefit the students by having a brief homeroom period at the end of the day. This would allow the students to get any necessary items from their lockers or put things away that they don't need to take home instead of carrying heavy, unnecessary books, etc. home every day. It would also give them an opportunity to go see a teacher if they have questions about something. Although communication is improving, especially with the implementation of Wednesday folders, I was very disappointed when I did not receive a reply from an email I sent to a teacher.Parent Review10y ago - Albert Gallatin Area Senior High School

"It’s not the worst part of town. It’s pretty bad. But it’s not as bad as some individuals will make it out to be."

"Nice neighbors mostly quiet close to downtown 10-15 minutes to shopping, dining and entertainment."
- Tom

"A lot of history, beautiful Victorians. Schools are awful, corrupt government but a few really good restaurants. Very strange run down coal mining area. Might be ok for singles or a couple with no kids wanting a cheap house in this area but all the houses in the area are low priced for a reason."

"Have lived in this west side neighborhood since 2003. The area is quiet; schools are nearby; shopping, banks and many excellent restaurants actually within walking distance. Hospital less than one-half mile away. All good in this hood!"
