3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average1st I must say communication between school and parents is almost non existent, everything is done at the last minute the punishment they give to students for small infractions is astonishing. I’ve spoken to other parents who feel the same way , they’re great teachers and some who should hang it up and pick a different carrier principal included . School should be about teaching and building every day skills for the youth success in life. Instead of tearing them down, I understand kids aren’t saints but there should lead by example not engaging in arguments with kids. If there and overwhelming amount of kids then hire more stuff. school get taxes from parent and city /state . We need better leadership. I’m glad I changed school district’s kids are striving . The officer’s at this school are great.Parent Review9mo ago - Robert Morris #27

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son spent preschool through 5th grade at this school. They do their best and overall the staff does a decent job. They need to get better about scheduling. You wouldn't find out about days off until the last minute. It was hit and miss with the teachers. My son had a couple good ones, a great one, an unbelievably awful one and a few that were mediocre at best. He did learn a lot. One major issue is communication. In 6 grades and 9 teachers only 3 really were open to communication and I am one to use email and visits to help with the process. Many times I would reach out with minimal to no response.Parent Review8y ago - Scranton High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible. I graduated from this school with all As and Bs. When I got to college I was immediately behind. An A at this school is equivalent to a C at better schools. Just look at the test averages,. As for leadership and character building, this school is apathetic to development of its students. Fortunately I had good parenting at home that helped with this.Other Review6y ago - Check out schools near 1036 Richmont St.

"Easy commute. Be weary of this landlord. Absent. We treated the home as our own. Did many repairs on our own to be helpful added shades to whole house. When we moved due to job he kept most of deposit for no good reason. After we paid a professional crew to clean the house. Be weary. "

"It’s pretty in the center of everything. Giant is so close, there’s a couple of cute restaurants right down the road. Downtown Scranton and south side are only a few minutes away. And dickson city, where most big stores are within 20 mins. It’s a pretty decent location if you don’t like to spend too much time driving to stores, especially with the snow around here it’s convenient to have a grocery store that’s less than 5 minutes away Id you need to run and grab something really quick.
