5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe only saving grace is that this school is better than most of phila school district elementary/middle schools but thats not saying much considering how horrible most of the schools are. Majority of the students are bad, disruptive, act out, etc. Im convinced most teachers there are only showing up for a paycheck. There isnt a single thing engaging or exciting about coming into this school for a student. Most students here do love gym class the most. They have run out of lumch for some kids which should be impossible considering plenty of kids pack and they should still have enough for each student enrolled. Communication is basically non existent. They created a home and school association who claimed to be there to bridge the communication gap but have actually not helped with it at all. The non school associated parents fb group proves it. You have parents sharing info on there and then school staff and home&school people are all contradicting each other about the info. The HSA does fundraisers and claim to be there to better the students education and experience but that doesnt happen either. You will rarely get a field trip. When i said there was nothing engaging for the students, i meant it. You can no longer bring in cupcakes for your childs bday due to allergies and unhealthy things but they allow the HSA to sell soda, candy, junk food to the students. Staff will lie about things. Some of them screw things up and dont like when you get the district involved. Theres a reason why students have been slowly getting pulled out here.Parent Review5mo ago - Frankford High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated here in 1975. I got my first job in banking using just my report card from this school. I look at these numbers and nobody can convince me this is a funding issue. The BOOKS are there for everyone. There are resources online. If you CHOOSE not to read or study, that's on YOU and YOUR PARENTS!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2712 E Ontario St.

"Heroin syringes and broken glass everywhere. Dog poop everywhere. Dangerous characters roaming around. Can’t take safe walks at night. "

"Dislike everything, rude neighbors, people letting their kids out at all hours of the day without supervision, jumping on cars, banging on people’s doors and running away. Always fighting on the block, leaving trash on other people steps."

"Some people are social and some are not. Port Richmond is an up and coming neighborhood. There's a lot of new people here and there are many newly renovated homes. The older people that have lived in this area their entire lives, are kind of being replaced with younger, yuppie kind of feeling neighbors. But generally pleasant. People just want to get rid of the riff raft and have clean, safe homes. "
