7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnne Frank Elementary School is NOT the best school in Philadelphia as the principal claims. In fact, this school has been steadily declining since Mr. Komins became the principal. He does NOT HAVE ANY CLASSROOM TEACHING EXPERIENCE! How do you become a principal when you were a gym teacher? Mr. Komins has never taught in the actual classroom, just in the gym. This school is way too overcrowded!! I do not feel safe leaving my child in the school yard. There is no adult supervision and kids are running everywhere. It’s just a matter of time until someone goes missing. Equity is a complete joke! The rules only apply to certain students while others can do whatever they want. My child complains about a boy in the class who consistently hits other students and the teacher!! NOTHING is done about behavior issues. In fact, the behavioral students seem to be rewarded. This school is a complete joke. I’m so happy that my child will not attend next year. My child always complains that she doesn't want to go to Baldi because it stresses her out because of how much homework they give there. 5 homeworks for each class?? There are 9 classes in total. 9x5 is 45. 45 homework in a day!
