We have seen a lot of great teachers and Principal's in this school district, but none as good as good as GW has had for many years. The family feel and terrific culture can't be matched. She was the best!

This school is great for learning! Some teachers have different teaching styles that require a lot more work outside of school to understand the subject but other then that I love this school!

My son is currently a junior at GVHS, and throughout his almost 3 full years to date in the school, he's had a wonderful experience. There are so many opportunities to be engaged, and we've been so impressed in two areas - the World Languages department, and the Engineering curriculum. Our student is traveling in a few weeks with 40+ classmates and a team of 4 Spanish teachers to Barcelona & Madrid over Spring Break 2025. He's also taken almost every Engineering class offered and is completing projects on par with what are done in 1st and 2nd year college courses and fabrication/research facilities. There have also been opportunities over the years to engage with community members and learn from working parents, including "Lunch and Learn" sessions where parents come in and talk about their different career fields and how to pursue their career pathways, as well as connect with young professional adults in mentoring capacities. Like ANY SCHOOL, if your child is a great kid, they're going to be great no matter where they go - but as parents, it's great to know our kids are cared about and have peers and adults around them that do their best every day. Our experience in this district has included a WONDERFUL, committed and dedicated roster of teachers at GVHS, fellow students who are interested in learning and collaborating, with supports in place for extracurricular experiences and guidance, and is just getting better every year.
