6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school, staff, principal’s, & superintendents' may potentially fail your child/children in more ways than you will ever be able to counteract. Advocating for your child causes poor treatment by staff to become endless. Please do your research, tour the school, ask about the policies they should be implementing, then question their answers with hypothetical circumstances to really challenge their statements; ensure their authenticity. Observe in person how they handle every day scenarios that may happen with your child attending the school. Unfortunately for my child, hindsight is 20/20. The damage that has been implemented on my child for the past several years by the ones responsible for her safety and wellbeing at school, makes me question the integrity of Moore Public Schools as a whole. I sincerely hope other students and parents have a better experience than oursParent Review6mo ago - Highland West Junior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is in 7th grade at Highland West and loves it. He likes all his teachers and the extra curricular activities that are offered. I like his teachers too since they have all been in contact with me either by phone call, email, or text message. I'm really impressed with his science and math teachers. He has taken a great liking to geography since the school year started; and, I think that is because of the teacher. The band director is enthusiastic and fun which makes band cool (and not nerdy). The English teachers are introducing him to different genres of literature which my son is finding challenging; but, I think it's broadening his views. My son doesn't have any problems with bullying. He rides the bus home from school without any problems. He is a type 1 diabetic and while it took a couple months getting his diabetes management figured out for middle school, it did get done and now it's all good. Thank you teachers!Parent Review10y ago - Southmoore High School

"The train is very irritating. I feel like I catch it every single day. I don’t hear it from the house, I just get stuck at the track often. But it is a simple go around if you’re desperate. "

"There are many parks in the area and they are all well maintained. The school district is nice too. There are many food locations that are great for family dinners or just fast food. The shopping in the area is great, and there are several different grocery stores in the area from Walmart, to sams, to aldi. "

"Like - Many wonderful walking trails at the city parks, as well as a dog park. Dislike - Many people seem to ignore the leash law at local parks... many of these dogs appear very well trained, however it still puts them/others at risk in case a dog gets aggressive"
