7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had a very pleasant experience here at Concord. Our child attended grades 1 - 5th. All teachers in all grades are very caring and the communication between them and the parents is very good. If you are an involved parent who is interested in your kids academic future this is the Elementary to be out of the 6 in the Troy School District. I feel that my child is ready for Middle school, academically and mentally. If your student is considered gifted, testing is being done and he or she may attend a separate program, called GATE; in higher grades they attend 1 day a week, in lower grades it's half a day. Also enrichment classes in Math or Reading are available. The new principal, Mr. Hake who is in his 2nd year has done a wonderful job to make a lot of positive changes within the school, ranging from students' safety at drop off and pick up as well as dealing with bullying situations. He is very interested in each student's well being and is always present by checking in on students in their classrooms and making sure everything goes smoothly. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average-10/10 Do NOT send your kids to Troy high school. The administrative members are the most rude, inconsiderate kids that I have EVER meet in my entire life. Jeffrey Schultz does not know how to do his job correctly. He hates every student there. I had my son running to me in tears (sophomore) because of Schultz. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUNPLEASANT! If you're considering moving to the Troy area and you have children, look into open enrollment in other districts and or private schools. St. Patrick's and Troy Christian. I regret not sending my children to either. Was willing to give TPS the benefit of the doubt. I should have listend to other parents of children in Troy public schools or have had children formally enrolled. This district should be embarrassed!Parent Review4y ago

"Kensington neighborhood looks like it should be nice, but people drive entirely too fast through here, blow stop signs constantly, and everyone with a dog seemingly lets it bark at will and defecate in other people's lawns. "

"I lived in Troy for several years. Definitely a nice area. No public transportation. There are areas that were rough thirty years ago and had not improved any. However, there are a lot of good neighborhoods. If you are moving from out of state, don’t rely on your realtor says on what areas are rough, get residents opinions. "
