"Everything is within 15 minutes from the west end to the east end. There’s stores restaurants and bars in every corner. always something new to see it a new place to check out. People take care of their homes and yard and the summertime is the best to take a walk and enjoy the sights to see"

"Lakewood is unlike any other place I have visited or lived — people are very proud to live here but know there is a lot that can be improved on together. I love events like Light Up Lakewood and the Summer Meltdown. There’s also a fantastic art show each summer. "

"It’s okay, you can hear everything all around you. The people are nice dogs are everywhere. People don’t always leash their dogs or pick up the dog poop-even though the city requires actual leashes not retractable most bars/restaurants are not dog friendly"

"Easy commute no matter which direction you need to go. I know several people who bike and walk everywhere they go. This is a highly bikeable community with bike lane through the entire city."

"i don’t have any kids myself, but I’ve heard that Lakewood has a good school district. I walk around at night regularly by myself and feel mostly safe. I love living here in my apartment and am hoping to purchase a home here or nearby. I would suggest parents with smaller children not live off Clifton since it is so busy and hard to cross if you aren’t near a crosswalk. "
