4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMr. Scott followed a very hands off principal who was absent or disengaged most of the time. When he came to Highland last year, the school was a mess. Bullying and harassment was pervasive and parents overtook the school to their pleasure. He came, set order in the school, implemented strict discipline expectations for staff and students. He even held parents accountable for our conduct. I did not like him at all until I saw the difference in my childs reading performance. I must admit, I was leary of having a stern African-American male leading a school in a community that has little to no positive Black males. He often brags about being the first Black male in the school's 120 year history. He decided to leave to pursue a doctorate. The school has not been the same since he left. I will miss him. I hope Columbus City Schools knows what they lost. The very parents that did not like him because of his color are now saying they miss him.Parent Review9y ago - West High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Wesmoor for 3 years,i did not like neither of the principals they dont communicate with you at allno names you know who you are thats why your no longer there,but the secretary Mrs.Quelette was wonderfull,and so were the 8th grade teachers.She seen lots of fights luckily was not involved in any,but did have a situation with a parent that said my daughter was bullying her daughter,so she confronted my child in the auditorium during the Honor Roll assembly,i wish she would have put her hands on my daughter i would have went to jail that day.No school is perfect,but this one wasnt terrible i guess.Parent Review5mo ago

"There aren't any ever. Run as far away from the Hilltop as you can get! Everyone is on drugs bad! You will be effected in on way or another. Pray for the children of the addicts!"

"I have lived here for 24 years and watched it turn into a rental area. It could be a wonderful neighborhood again if more people would live in and care for the property. I have lived on the Hilltop all my life and wish I we could go back to the suburban feel it once had."

"If you like city style dwellings without the hub bub of city life, look no further! Parking is limited (in addition to off-street parking), but the bus line is in front of the building: 10 min to downtown, 10 minutes to grocery, gym, the Casino. Laundry facilities are in the SECURED building. You can literally gamble at the Casino, pray at the church next door, get your driver's license across the street and play at the park all in the same day."
