7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm not sure why Willits received a rating of 6. This is an excellent school! Both of my children attended A.P. Willits and had an amazing experience both academically and socially. The teachers, staff & administration are caring and supportive of all students. I highly recommend sending your child to this school!Parent Review3y ago - H B Thompson Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current sophomore at Syosset High School as of now along with my sister who is a freshman. Looking at statewide averages and percentiles came as a surprise to us seeing how low they really were. Although many people say the school is too competitive, we take it as motivation, just as most of my peers do. The after-school activities are a real pro when considering Syosset High School. Anything imaginable is likely available to try. Teachers are either really good or pretty poor. New classes such as wellness support that most reviews under this post are incorrect, where mental health and safety are HIGHLY promoted. For us athletes, we received new lights for the turf field, a new state-of-the-art gym, and vast fields for various sports. If you are considering moving to Syosset and reading this, I would recommend you ignore the other comments as they are likely not motivated to compete and become successful later in life. I have a nice balance and equilibrium between hanging out with friends, sports, homework, and other hobbies.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 55 Chestnut Ln.

"Woodbury is a lovely place to live, to raise a family, to work and to make friends. I have lived here for 22 years and I love it more each day. It is very well connected to all public transportation. Close to train station, bus, it is a shoppers delight. The Woodbury common premium outlets is phenomenal. Lots of good restaurants in this area. The playgrounds are well maintained. The parks are very good. It is very neat and clean."

"It was a great town but it is becoming gentrified with religious groups. Prices for the school district is very expensive considering the vast divide in incomes from those who have lived in the town longer. "

"Access to Hicksville station is a great benefit for commuting to the city. Commuting is never easy, but having a major hub has been crucial."

"There is no dog park. But there is a local vet and that is nice. I think they should put multiple dog parks or dog walking areas with a garbage bin and garbage bags to pick up after your dog "
