4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile the teachers are great, the principal of this school is very ineffective. He does not know how to run a school, and treats people not on his "list" like dirt. He needs to retire and make way for someone who knows how to be a leader, and will support all faculty and staff.Other Review8mo ago - Lee F Jackson School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have two children in the district and both are currently in Lee F. Jackson and we are loving the school! My daughter had to complete her Kindergarten year during the hybrid model of schooling and the teachers at LFJ did an incredible job giving the students a positive experience filled with learning. The new superintendent in GCSD is making every effort to improve communication and consider the changes our facilities will need over the coming years. With the process just starting for the district's five year strategic plan, it seems like the school district is in a great place to keep the positive things moving forward and make any changes where necessary using data and community input. We are looking forward to continuing on in the district and getting the chance to meet many more of the wonderful families we have encountered here.Parent Review2y ago - Richard J Bailey School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child thrived at Bailey even with the distance learning brought on by the pandemic her last year there. She had great teachers that cared and pushed her to do her best work and were very responsive to me as a parent whenever I had questions. The principal, Mrs. Rraci, also adequately addressed any concerns that came up throughout the 3 years. There are opportunities for kids to learn instruments and sing in the chorus as well as after school activities. Even when they had to do it only virtually instead of in person, the music teacher put together a wonderful play! As of the fall of 2021 there is a brand new playground for students to enjoy.Parent Review2y ago - Woodlands Senior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Woodlands as a student and I wouldn't have gone anyplace else. The faculty encourage growth and excellence in their students. I felt safe, supported and provided for in this district.I'd absolutely recommend Woodlands.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 29 North Rd.

"The schools are great. Neighbors are friendly and diverse. There is a lot of pride in White Plains. We have a Kindergartener, so last year we toured all the schools and all of them seemed great. Every parent I have spoken to has only had good things to say about their school regardless of which school their child goes to. The parks are great and they are continually updating them. Your child can swim all summer for close to free in either of the two city pools. The recreation department offers a lot of activities at very affordable prices."
