8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is one I recommend to anyone in the area, I am going here and everyone was nice but also strict and if your personal taste is different I would still give it a chance. There are teachers you will not like ( I could name a few) but most of them are kind and supportive and make learning fun. I feel that the students also bond a lot better here too, everyone has something in common and everyone is nice to one another.Student Review3y ago - Ps 199 Maurice A Fitzgerald

"I've lived in Sunnyside for 18 years. It has the best NYC has to offer. A quick ride to Manhattan, but all you need is in the 'hood. Great restaurants, bars, & services. The one downside is lack of green space, but there are a few parks and the huge old-growth trees in Sunnyside Gardens make up for it. There's a lovely green market every Saturday as well as regular community events. Overall it's great, diverse community; quintessentially Queens! "

"I love living in Sunnyside! I moved here in the 90's (in my 20's) because it was affordable, but I never thought I would still be living here in 2020 and raising a family here. It is an amazing community with beautiful tree-lined streets in Sunnyside Gardens, farmers market, wonderful parks, restaurants... You get the best of suburban living and urban living combined."
