9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended PS199 from K-6. Reading these reviews, I would urge parents to really listen to what is being said. This school is not suited and does not serve all children with varying maturity and learning styles. It is not a happy place or one that supports children's needs. The school needs new leaders to really take the talented children that you drop off for Kindergarten and make them love themselves and learning. We left that school beaten down. That is a real shame. Thankfully a great supportive and vibrant caring middle school changed the damage done at PS 199.Parent Review2y ago - Special Music School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is truly a gem of the school. Small, academically superb and welcoming. It’s the closest your child will get to private like education without writing a 50-70k check each year. But make sure they love music. Truly into it. What separates this school from other performing art schools, in my opinion, is pre conservatory level approach to music. The dedication is seen and heard all through the school’s hallways.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 200 W End Ave #4J.
