3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst school we have ever been a part of. I saw the score was a 5 and I figured I would just do extra curricular activities here at home, which we did and it worked fine. The thing I did not anticipate about a school with such a low score was that the score means the school is most likely not being run well! This school has a long time running off of poor policies. They're all comfortable with the absolute bare minimum. We tried to help in positive change but that would be something only accomplished with staff who actually want the best for the children, a staff that is actually inspired and WANT to be teachers. This school is ok with the bare minimum and that is so unfortunate for some of the children who have no other choice but to attend here. You will hear a few parents with glowing reviews but the more you speak to long time residents of this town, you will hear how long this school has had issues and how they continue to just put a band aid on deep set issues and quickly shuffle on. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy boys have had a very positive experience at Honeoye Central. Their course work appears relevant and rigorous. The school has prepared them well which is evident in my kids meeting and sometimes exceeding the NYS testing criteria. The school environment is calm and in control. For such a small school, I have been very impressed by the many and varied extra curricular opportunities. An extra bonus is that all kids are able to participate in sports. "I grew up in Lima and have always loved Livonia. I wound up purchasing a home in Livonia and absolutely love this town and community. Though I live in a country setting, downtown is only a few minutes away. It's a nice sleepy town but still has a lot of seasonal community events bringing neighbors together."
