"Great place to raise a family especially if you work in NYC as it is a reasonable commute. Many families have multiple generations that have raised their children here, the elementary and high school are small and well regarded, there is a beautiful community pool and recreation center, everything is extremely walkable which is a benefit when kids enter the tween stage."

"Safe area. Good schools. Great neighborly/community feel. Moved here for that and it’s consistent with what we’ve found. Don’t see ourselves leaving any time soon. Hope to see all our children finish school here (they’re toddlers now). "

"Far enough from city limits where feels quite and more like the burbs, but close enough to transportation and highways to be in the city “Manhattan in 30-45 mins. Great neighborhood to walk to have dinner or drinks at restaurant and bars. Village Pool for the summers. Good schools. Etc"

"I lived in Floral Park my entire life. Depending on what block and how many children are on it, there at block parties. During the night it is fairly quiet and I barely hear anything. Great place to live for a family."
