7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei went to this school for 3 years and my experience was amazing apart from certain experiences. academically i strived and did amazing. scoring with most As and 1 or 2 Bs. With its sports and other activities the school is great to. I played volleyball for 2 years at the school and i looked forward to every game and every practice and dreaded the end to my seasons. the teachers that ive met are mostly very nice and helpful and try their best to help the student with whatever necessity they have. the student that i have met going to this school are amazing and im still in touch with some of them. being a muslim, person of color, bisexual female i have to say i felt very respected and never felt any hate against me. however, i was sexually harassed but it was way after school hours and no camera was there to catch anything. the people were students in my grade that i had an argument with but i chose not to report it and im sure if i had the school would do their best to help. sending your kids here is a good idea because they will find friends that will work for them and teachers that have dedicated themselves to education.Other Review2y ago - Ps 277 Gerritsen Beach

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDr. Vlantis does not effectively deal with bullying in the school. OORS reports are not generated as they are supposed to be. When I insisted on one for an issue, the "investigation" was conducted with "witnesses" in the same room as the bully as they were writing statements. Any person with common sense can tell you that that is the most ineffective way to conduct an investigation. But, it served the school because then on paper, there was no bullying. No justice at all for the student who is bullied. Students who complain are made to feel like they are lying and over exaggerating.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near Lois Ave.
