10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son came to the school with ADHD diagnosed at 7, and three medical doctors requesting extra time on tests. The counsellor refused, referring to me as "you people," implying I wanted special privileges. The school psychologist disagreed with her assessment. My son failed classes. He got no support. I had to get the District supervisor to overrule this racist and cruel decision--reprimanding the school--but it was too late. Brooklyn Tech is a school that's run by a lot of angry and disillusioned people who take itheir frustrations out on the parents and kids who need them most. I would rather move out of town or go to a regular public school than send another child of mine here.Parent Review3w ago - Ps 282 Park Slope

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is in G&T which is white and Asian and lacking in any other diversity but I don’t think that is the school’s fault. I hate that, but again I don’t think that is PS 282 I think that is the old G&T system. so I have a particular viewpoint but lack of diversity in G&T aside im very happy at 282 so far. I’ve been impressed by Ms. Rodriguez’s leadership throughout the pandemic and so far my daughter’s teachers (prior to G&T and in G&T) have been truly amazing. The after school activity Tiny Scientist is the BEST and at 6 my daughter is leaning Spanish and loves to go to school every day.Parent Review2y ago - Ms 266 Park Place Community Middle School

"Please don’t bring more dogs to this neighborhood. We already have enough and owners already do a very poor job of either 1) picking up after them or 2) keeping them leashed. Saw a dog unlawfully unleashed in the park destroy a tree the other day. Continually have to ask owners to not let dogs defecate on our fenced sidewalk gardens. Just don’t. How hard is it? "
