8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am currently an 8th grader this year. I have been appreciating this school since i was in 6th grade. I hold my heads high every time I walk out of that school because I know that they work hard to help all of their students. I have learned a lot from this school. They discipline you, they teach you everything they know. They support you with anything. They will give advice on anything you need. Every time I walk out of those doors, I see teachers staying late just to review things with some students who couldn't process some things. This school is a second home, we all treat each other equally and we never leave people behind. The graduating class of 2014 got into several good high schools such as LaGuardia, Baruch, Beacon and some even got a scholarship for boarding schools. The reason why those freshmans are where they are standing right now, its because this school gave everything they have to help students. - a current student at NSLAOther Review9y ago

"Good quiet neighborhood, walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants the 1 subway line and van Cortland Park. The only downside is to avoid having a car at all cost parking is nearly impossible after 7pm and there are no local municipal parking buildings "

"As far as l know there is no community even. I remember seeing the Catholic Church conducting a vía crisis during Good Friday. I saw my neighbor having a big party at some point for the community. Aside from that , l have never seeing anything else. Sorry if this is not very helpful."
