6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average-studentI am currently an 8th grade student at this school. To be honest there are teachers that push you and never stop pushing you but there are teachers that don't care. But one thing that annoys me is that at lunch most of the time after done eating they let you go to the gym or outside if your table is clean , so most of the time even if the girls table is clean they won't let the girls go upstairs but they let the boys even if their table is dirty. Then if one of the girls ask why they can't go they make up petty excuses why I personally think it's sexist. But in general I love the school and will miss the school, funny teachers , and the pushing teachers.Student Review7y ago - The Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music

"I don't live in this area myself, but my aunt has lived there for over 30 years and I visit her frequently, so I know quite a bit about the area. There are a lot of families and a few parks for kids, pets and space to throw outdoor parties. The parks are typically clean and the area is pretty quiet. there's many stores and places to buy any necessities. Overall a great place to live and raise a family. "

"Parents should know that their children are entitled to good schools. The city has money. All they need to know is to apply. Find bilingual school counselors. Otherwise, kids can be misguided & lost to illicit drugs or alcohol. Parents should stay in focus mode."

"2406 Webster Ave is horrible. They rent out the backyard for parties that go on weekdays and weeknights til 5am or 6am. They have complete disregard to the people who live here. Believe it or not, there are still some decent people who get up early to go to work. "
- Steve B. A.
