8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two students who attend Carson high. I am impressed with the counseling department. Before my students joined Carson high, they were called by the counselor to schedule their classes. The counselors are very responsive and good at providing direction. Most of the teachers here are very good teachers. The school does a good job of meeting the needs of college prep students as well as students that are not going to go on to college. There are lots of guest speakers related to different jobs and lots of guidance on filling out college applications and financial aid. Overall, this is a very good school. Considering the size of the school, it is surprising that they can meet the needs of such a diverse student body. We are very impressed with Carson high. The counseling and the teachers are excellent.Parent Review6mo ago - Carson Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student who attends this school, I have had the worst experience of my life here. I've dealt with bullying every day, getting punched for no reason and the person getting away scott free. I've had many things stolen from me. I have to attend counseling because the students here are so brutal. Unless you're popular, say goodbye to a happy middle school experience. It doesn't matter if you report it, the bullying NEVER stops. As a 3rd year student here, I think it is safe to say that until you are talked down enough so you're silent in class and your citizenship grades drop, you're going to get bullied every single day. I once went home with a huge bruise on my arm due to a fellow student (my main bully) slamming me against a locker with an open door and trying to shut it over and over on my left arm (My dominate) If you don't fit in in the perfect way, you'll end up either waiting 10 minutes for a seat at a table, or eating alone at lunch. Once, my math teacher called me stupid because I was falling behind. She had muttered it when I was leaving and I heard it. I tried to report the incident but of course, nothing happened. Overall, if you care about you or your child's safety, I recommend NOT attending this school.Student Review6y ago - Edith West Fritsch Elementary School

"Carson used to be a great place to live and raise kids.. unfortunately due to the population increase, drug use and other crimes have raised rapidly. The increase in traffic is horrible and rude drivers ignoring traffic laws are now the rule and not the exception.. stay away from main roads during the hours of 4:30- 6:30 "
