Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from August 27, 2022
At the end of cul-de-sac, the gold painted finial iron gates open automatically to welcome you! This 3-level custom-built colonial estate with distinct Mediterranean influences is one of a kind architectural masterpiece, offering over 8,000 sq. feet of living and entertaining accommodations. Nestled in the prestigious Princeton Ridge enclave, only minutes away from Palmer Square, Princeton University, and top private schools, this extraordinary home, boasting 5 large en suit bedrooms & 6 full/2 half baths, has been impeccably maintained by its original owner. Privately situated on over an acre of scenic and beautifully landscaped property (adjacent to over 25 acres of preserved woods), with paved circular driveway and a granite fountain. This magnificent Persian inspired manor requires surprisingly low maintenance. Archways, French doors, extensive custom crown moldings, hardwood floors, granite countertops, soaring ceilings, and large skylights are features of the property. A courtyard-like Great Room with a 24-feet vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, huge formal dining room with exquisite molding and chair railing. A unique solarium with structural glass floor overlooking the swimming pool below and enjoying panoramic seasonal vistas from three sides with skylights. An oversized 3-car garage with ample shelving, mud room, pet room, and a tiled wraparound balcony with awning wrapping the awe-inspiring kitchen. Upper level is “hall of rooms”. The expansive and luxurious master suite and 3 additional large en suite bedrooms with high vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, balconies, 2 with fireplace and 2 whirlpools. A large solarium (potentially a bedroom) with a wet bar, balcony and stunning views of the garden completes this level. The finished walk out lower level is the ‘club house’ with an in-law en suite, kitchen, paver covered patio, family room, game room, office, sauna, an additional full bath, changing room and storage room. Then you are steps away from the indoor/outdoor, year-round, heated low maintenance saltwater pool with whirlpool and a huge paver patio with awning and exotic bushes surrounding. This level is recreational and entertainment paradise. Other highlights include fresh paints, 2x6 and stucco construction with lower level built with over 9 feet of poured concrete, main and upper floors with 9, 14 and 25 feet ceilings, Pella windows and doors throughout, 21 skylights, granite in all bathrooms with brass hardware, hardwood floors throughout, luxurious crown molding and sophisticated medallions, 6 gas fireplaces, several balconies and stone patios, abundance of storage spaces, upgraded 6 zone heating and cooling systems, 400-amp electric system, and 2 large water heaters, one only 2 year old. Other amenities include recessed lighting throughout, chandlers, remote-operating fans/lights, LED bulbs throughout, central vacuum, security, intercom and media audio systems throughout, an exclusive indoor/outdoor saltwater low maintenance swimming pool that doesn't need chlorine, gazebo, pergola, swing set, sprinkler system throughout, multiple stone patios, paved walkways and landscape lighting around the home, sod-lawned yards and rock gardens of exotic trees and bushes that bloom in different seasons. This spectacular manor is perfect 'staycation' for entire family.

"To get to bus station is a long , over populated area and the majority of people walk but a lot of cars in a very over populated and mixture of all kinds of people. Some very nice, and some very rude and feel they own the streets! I really hate Princeton and don’t recommend it. To get to train station is now a drive and to The Dinky is a longer walk than bus stop. And everything costs money, they built decks to make money and they also make you get permits to park. I was blessed enough to have a driveway where I was, but all in all: I rate it a good=25 & bad=75%-NOT VERY GOOD! Must rate Police & EMT IS A GOOD-100% -very fair and also courts are fair majority of time"
