3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re thinking about putting your child into this school please don’t. Learning sucks, teachers don’t care about students, they rather let kids be on their phones than learn. Assignments are ridiculously long and give little to no help when asked about it. AP classes are not worth it at all, teachers are rude and just pile on work. My child never felt noticed or welcomed at school, the first day she was there she was getting bullied for her looks and for not speaking Spanish, and it’s not only her, multiple other kids go through this daily and school does nothing about it, no punishment, no warning, nothing. The school does what it needs to do with Special Education, only minimum don’t go above and beyond. Security is horrible and fights happen around 3 times a week. As a parent, I didn’t feel cared for or respected, people at the front desk were rude and made a big deal about picking my child up. It’s insane that I genuinely have to write a negative review of this school. Schools should be a safe and welcoming environment, not violent and isolated.Parent Review3mo ago

"Perth Amboy is great town to live. Everything is close to here: bodegas, pharmacy, hospital, stores, etc. Some areas are quite and has nice neighbors. Others are noisy, but this is the least. "

"Living in Perth Amboy is good. Everything is close: hospital, stores, parks, beach. Public transportation is good; also there is a train station to NY or Trenton area. Neighborhood is pretty quite except on summer or Christmas. And the airport is 25 minutes away. this area around the high school is quite and there's no complain about burglary. I walk my dog around the area anytime. Additionally, the municipality has activities during each state of the year."

"The Spanish food in Perth Amboy is amazing. It’s like home cooking. The waterfront is very beautiful, definitely the towns gem. The negative with be the loud exhaust pipes of kids who think they have race cars, loud music in many places with no consideration for neighbors, theft and litter. "

"My neighborhood is full of cars. To many terrible cab drivers that will probably help you get into an accident. Parking is very limited due to the excesive amount of cars. Many things are convinient in this town though. But the main streets do not look all to pleasing."

"I’ve been moving back in and out of this neighborhood, but what I’ve seen and the way the neighbors act with me, I don’t like it. The houses here are very old, the neighbors aren’t bad but the neighborhood is very quiet which for some people is a good thing but it is way too quiet! "

"I lived in Perth Amboy over 3 years. Terrible school system. Many fights and occasional lock downs. The neighborhood is dangerous at night. "
