2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am studying at this school and would like to share my impressions, maybe someone will be interested. Let's start with the attitude of teachers towards students. In general, no teacher treated me poorly; on the contrary, some teachers were very kind to me and tried to help me because I am a foreigner. I was pleasantly surprised. Personally, I did not encounter bullying, but I saw how a boy who wears a wig and women's clothing could be teased or insulted. I even saw how they picked on and laughed at a boy with mental problems (I don't know exactly what, maybe autism). Fights often occur in this school, and teenagers often smoke e-cigarettes in the bathrooms daily. As for education, I don't think this is the school that would suit you because some teachers are not very interested in it, and in principle, I think this school is not for these purposes. The school is old, and it would be good if they fixed and cleaned up some classrooms. Overall, I wouldn't say this school is very bad, but it's not good either.Student Review1mo ago - Joseph E Soehl Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom my experience with this school they truly do not care about their students and do not reach out to the parents when an incident occurs. The principal is absolutely rude. The students are allowed to do what they want and will not get disciplined. My daughter was getting bullied for several months and they did nothing to solve the issue. The school is not safe for your children, I needed to leave the school district to keep my child safe because they wouldn’t do anything to help.Parent Review4w ago - Number 4, Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool 4 is a great school. My family moved to NJ when my son was entering 4th grade (now he is in 5th and graduating this June) and we have had a wonderful experience with all the teachers, staff, parents, and students. The administration is very helpful and pleasant. The teachers are very sweet and are really great at keeping lines of communication open and active. They offer so many extra curricular activities and events that keep the children and parents involved. I really am shocked that they have a 1 rating. I personally belive bad reviews may have possibly been written by disgruntled parents based on very specific and personal situations. I personally rate School 4 a 9. The only reason why they don't get a 10 from me is because as of right now, only half of the school building has been remodeled and is very modern, while the other half needs to be updated. But I'm sure with all the parent involvement and fundraising, remodeling is definitely in School 4's future. Keep up the good work School 4!!!! And don't let these bad reviews keep you down! Sincerely, Giselle GarciaParent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 2145 Fay Ave.

"I lived here a few years but so far so good, prices for homes are much higher so I think that helps the community and helps the value but some are friendlier than others"

"The best area in Linden to live is near wood Ave and Sunny side. The area is quiet with well kept areas and close to the high school and middle schools. Living across the main highway seems lonely and away from the city."

"They would like the parks and the neighborhoods to walk them. Residents are friendly and helpful. Dog owners would not like that there is not a dog park in the area but I’m sure that could change if they would come together and attend a town meeting with city officials to request one. As long as the dogs are not vicious and the owner has control of the dog all dogs are welcomed."
