Our children have no experience that enables them to compare what is normal and what is NOT normal. The environment at the school is not normal. My child was in fear and with just cause. The teachers are wonderful it is the administration the problem. The principles both elementary and high school engage in totally unacceptable behavior including, Basic human rights violations, manipulating children, bullying, character assassinations, favoritism, judgmental without reason they are close minded and aggressive. They are policing children instead of helping and educating them. Blaming the parents and children for absenteeism is like forcing the fly to the spider. Children are uncomfortable but unable to articulate the issue because they believe it to be normal. Many children have health issues that directly correlate to the school environment. Not wanting to go, stomach pain and severe headaches from the mere thought of going are all signs signifying the School IS the problem. If the children are not running to school something is wrong AT THE SCHOOL! If the school is doing it right your children would be upset when they MISS school with illness.

The leadership in place at the school is totalitarian and authoritarian. Children have a difficult time reaching their potential when they have to endure character attacks by the principal. My child was told he would never amount to anything. The teachers are fantastic but the school climate based on the leadership is counterproductive to democratic ideology and growth.
