My girlfriend is in 8th as well. SOMEONE IN THIS SCHOOL NEEDS TO CONTROL THEIR STUDENTS. My girlfriend is severely insecure about their body and your petty students didn’t help. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThree years ago, we enrolled our eldest daughter at a local private school to enter Kindergarten, but then compared the reviews of that school with those for Winter Park Elementary. The two compared well, so after much consideration we decided to enroll her at Winter Park instead. Now our daughter is in 2nd grade and we have never regretted our decision. Winter Park Elementary is academically very strong and we think highly of all the teachers and support staff we have met over the years. We volunteer at the school and get to see the school operations first hand. We are very pleased with the quality of education and the classroom environment. We are also pleased that the student body reflects the diversity of our community around the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Best of all, our daughter absolutely loves her teachers and going to school each day! We are very pleased with her academic and social progress. Our second daughter will be ready for Kindergarten later this year and we look forward to entering her at Winter Park Elementary with her sister. And this time we are now confident they will both flourish and benefit from a well-rounded and diverse education!Parent Review10y ago

"make sure you check the school grades and school information. check out each schools score card closely online. they're very representative of the local schools. there are a lot of non traditional schools such as charter and private to choose from "

"its nice. lots of family's, students and people trying ro.find their own quiet corner of the world. some people have chickens. some have dogs and some have full fledged gardens close to uncw and the beach "

"The dogs are welcome but there’s no sidewalks here so you have to walk in the street and cars drive pretty fast here. The streetlights aren’t very bright either so if you’re walking at night you need to bring a flashlight to walk your dog. "
