6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has no consideration for the student or the family. It is 100% about the way the principal looks to the community. Students and parents are belittled. Students are punished and berated when they could be come along side and taught. Middle school is time for students to learn. Of course there should be consequences but the consequences at SCMS are not aligned to the behaviors and not designed to teach. Instead, the SCMS principal uses these opportunities to instead punish. She yells at, berates, and loses her temper in front of the students on a regular basis. Parents who have different beliefs and/or giving patterns are belittled. You are told you are not a good parent if you do not participate in what the principal wants you to…regardless of your why. The principal does not care about your why. If your goal is not to make the SCMS principal look good, this is not the school for you. This includes teacher and staff. The teachers and staff are continually turning over to the detriment of teacher health and student learning. Multiple teachers in ELA and math each year do not lead to success. In fact, an A student quickly becomes a C student and does not care. It leads to students deciding to not keeping trying because the bar and rules continuously change. The teachers and staff are not leaving due to burnout. They leave because of the principal.. The environment is toxic for students, teachers, and parents. It will not change until Lisa Bailes is no longer the Principal.Parent Review3w ago - Olde Providence Elementary

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOld Providence Elementary won the BEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN CMS AWARD IN 2023. 6 out of 10? BAH! Utter nonsense. OP has some of the best, most dedicated teachers of any school I've ever engaged with. My daughter is in the 3rd grade, and is excited to go to school every day. I am not sure what the agenda of this "non profit website" is but the score on OP couldn't be more incorrect.Parent Review4mo ago - Providence High

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attented this school. From my experience, the teachers I had were not good. You go to class just to copy workbooks and figure out the answers yourself. The teachers did not teach. How can you learn like this?Other Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 9028 Providence Colony Dr.

"Trees everywhere. A couple of times a year, you will see the trees drip and it looks like rain. Nice neighbors. Some are helpful. Many are retired, SAHM, and work from home. "

"Raintree is a huge planned neighborhood with beautiful landscaping, two golf courses, safe streets and diverse, adorable architecture. It is surrounded by three equidistant shopping centers: Promenade on Providence, Stonecrest, and The Arboretum. It is also just a short drive away from Ballantyne Village and Blakeney shopping centers, and sidewalks connect Raintree to all those popular locations."

"As a child who grew up in the area, I can say from personal experience that there is no better location to raise children. Perfect size basketball court nearly on the property of this house (4813), short walk to a tennis court and full playground, heavily wooded area with creeks supporting beautiful walks, and a full-sized ball field only a short walk away... everything a child needs to open up his/her imagination... all within a faint hollar from the parents to bring their children in for supper. Not to mention the excellent location for schools, grocery shopping, golf, etc. etc. etc... "
