1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent that currently has a student at Roosevelt. I feel it had vastly improved over the years. I attend every parent-teacher conference, email, have one on one talks with the teachers and other staff and everyone I’ve encountered have been very pleasant and helpful. The teachers really want to teach and guide and not just show up for work. I believe the school is overall getting better and offers a lot of opportunities for students for college, trade schools, and social/emotional growth.Parent Review1y ago

"It's important to know your neighbors: thankfully, it's easy to do! There are generations of families living houses or blocks from each other, with many residents having been here long-term. My block is very friendly and culturally diverse. We socialize often. People are fairly helpful. This is a real neighborhood."

"No there’s strays sliver my 3 pound dog got attacked by my neighbors pit bull they jumped the fence and ran in my yard and theres5 other strays pit bull also that run around but one of them is very sweet it just wants food"

"Dog owners would like the open areas for walking and there some common water bowls along some business dog friendly sidewalks for dogs, like on Cherokee street. Also the parks and trees scenes for walking dogs in the area."

"Amazing architecture. Very convenient to downtown, and freeways. There's a lot of redevelopment going on. I moved here from Minneapolis and since I've been here I've been seeing a lot of vacant homes being renovated and blocks are being redeveloped. I think this could become the Boston of the Midwest. "

"Quick access to 55 is convenient to any commute. I was commuting to River City casino and my commute was less than 10 minutes. Traffic was never an issue. "

"Family neighborhood. Rec center near by with pool open in summer. Kid friendly. Street parking is okay, just have to make sure to move your car on schedule days when street cleaning is going on. "
