5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCurrently I am struggling a bit with my opinion of the school. When it comes to bullying I will say they get that handled quickly and effeciently. They get an A+ there. Yes the principles are good. When it comes to the classrooms I struggle... It seems as if they address the well behaved kids and let the problem kids slide. I know the problem kids take more effort and time away from teaching but their continued bad behavior needs to be addressed. On occasion I have tried to talk to our teacher and I am either shut down or forced to deal w/ a snippy attitude. Another issue is homework consisting of handwritten worksheets. In some cases the last part of the question has been omitted from the original copy and at times the handwriting is very difficult to read. Also from what I am reading online our district has 30 kids to every full time teacher, many of the districts around us have 14, 15, or 16 students to every full time teacher. Hopefully as the economy improves this ratiowill too. When my children complain I remind them that each building is only 3 years (excempt HS) then they get to move on as well next year will be a different teacher.Parent Review12y ago - Windsor High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving graduated recently I can say that in my experience most of the teachers and staff were generally happy to be there and excited to teach-that being said, the social environment was horrible. Unless you were popular, or a sportsperson you generally were ignored or put on the back burner. Additionally in my time there I have seen, heard, and experienced instances of homophobia, transphobia, and racism in both the other students and higher administrators. My experiences with schoolwork and general education were good but the overall value when it comes to minorities is utterly deplorable. I felt safe being by a police station but otherwise, I feared for my safety when it came to expressing myself in a way that would be perceived as different or a part of a minority.Student Review1y ago - Windsor Middle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am extremely happy with my child's experience here at Windsor. I especially love the parent/teacher interaction. This is a top notch school that is grounded in traditional education which is very healthy for the development of our kids.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 1318 Jungermann Rd #1318.

"We live here in this neighborhood. We do like it, but there are some pros and cons. Arnold City Park has a wonderful playground, dog park and sport facilities so it's great to be so close. However most of the roads have no sidewalks, so even though we walk to and from the park for fireworks on the 4th of july it doesn't feel safe to be walking in the street with a dog and stroller. Crime in my little neighborhood is low EXCEPT the set of apartments on Potomac, they keep renting to druggies and have had a meth lab and two fires in the past 3 years. Lots of elderly in the area, so it's mostly quiet except those apartments. 5+ large chain Grocery stores in Arnold but you have to go through the busiest part of town so there's sometimes traffic. None in walking distance. Goodwill and Salvation Army plus two local thrift stores, so lots of bargain shopping options. Arnold has a ridiculous number of fast food locations, it's fantastic. Lots of casual dining. Petco and Petsmart, mid-level clothing stores, ice cream shops, WalMart & Target, etc. I can think of 7 gas stations in Arnold off the top of my head. The community is very centered around the local schools and the library/community center is fantastic. We also have a community organized Food Pantry, "Arnold Days" community week with a parade and fun Halloween events. The majority of housing in Arnold is a little older and outdated, lower middle class from the 50s-70s. Not the highest quality or most desirable nowadays but there are also a lot of newer housing developments with more grandiose homes. There are at least two other parks in Arnold, as well as fishing areas off the Meramec River and the Strawberry Ridge wildlife area. Overall I think Arnold makes a good family community, and even though I'm in one of the older crappier houses and wish I had more space, I think this is a good place to raise our child. "
