4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere's some serious issues with RCW high school and elementary school. The issues start at the top and funnel down. The biggest issue is leadership. Without great leaders, teacher turn-over rates are high which directly effects the success of every kid in the classroom. My advice to RCW is to work hard to get new leaders in the door that are inspiring to community and represent honesty, openness, and teamwork. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is an absolute joke! We moved here to this area and had high hopes of a quality education. It is far from it. Thank goodness, MN has school choice, and I got my children out of there, faster than I could blink. The "Social Worker" has no idea how to handle her job. They have no idea, how to handle or support a child with disabilities. The HS principal is on a power trip and has ridiculous rules. He doesn't allow water bottles, so you have athletes getting dehydrated prior to practice in the afternoons. You also have students with asthma suffering in the heat with no liquids. The kids are lucky if they get 15 minutes to eat their lunch. There are basically no elective options. It's choir, band, or study hall. The staff does not ensure parents, especially new to the district are properly informed. They had my children's records 2 months prior to the start of the school year and still couldn't put a schedule together for 2 of them.
