My overall experience at this school was horrible most administration favors certain people, they dont deal with bullying at all, disruptive students preventing learning and so on. In the Three years that i went there i AM NOT proud to say that I went here, I mean really the whole school district is horrible. Because of this school i moved to a whole new state, now I go to high school in New Mexico and let me be honest, so much better then Dowagiac. Its more inclusive, everyone's accepted, nice teachers, no disruption, security everywhere. Let me honest about Dowagiac Middle school. When I went there for my 8th grade year (2021-2022) my math teacher was out because of medical reasons, and out of all of his classes he had were horrible, people where throwing desks, throwing basketballs, using foul language around substitutes, throwing things at substitutes, people refusing to sub for that class because someone threw a pencil right a sub and they left. There were fights 24/7, vaping problems, teachers leaving and so on. The teachers there need to be paid more for what they go through everyday, its not fair that they get disrespected by young adults who should be nice to them and look highly of them. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this school and all schools in the Dowagiac School District, your better off either going to a different town or state or going to Berrien Springs which is an awesome school and was one of choices is i stayed in Michigan.

I loved DUHS! I graduated in 2009 and miss DUHS and Dowagiac in general! Great place to grow up and get an education! Loved my time at Dowagiac Union High School!
