6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Edsel Ford. There was a lot of physical fighting my senior year. I was a great student, straight 4.0s, National Honors Society, AP courses, started clubs, leadership experience. My graduating class had very low grades which hurt the school.Parent Review1y ago - Smith Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to be a student here at O.L. Smith. My experience was HORRIBLE. For one thing, the bathrooms were disgusting! To add onto that, the staff doesn't do anything about it. I don't know how many times I had to read inappropriate things. Another thing that's bad about this school are the teachers. While some teachers are actually nice, others are... infuriating. There was an assistant in an ELA class, who gave out six PBIS (Behavioral stuff) out in one day, even if they didn't do anything. She even kept them there after lunch, which was at 11:47, but people started leaving. Another teacher that was almost as bad was my Advisory/1st Hour (Social Studies) teacher. The only good thing is that she gives us 1 minute breaks. But even sweet things turn sour, I'd get up and go ask her if I could go to the bathroom, only for her to say I have to go back to my seat and "raise my hand," only for her to completely ignore me and say "no." You should've just said no in the first place. In advisory, I'd usually grab a chromebook and play something like Slope Game (which was on an unblocked website) and she'd look at me and say no, and tell me to put it back. One day, i was playing on the chromebook and she said to put it back, EVEN THOUGH we used it in first hour to play Blooket, which we barely play anyway. I highly recommend that you don't send your children here. Even if you do, they might have the same experience. (Watch out for Rm 32, that was my old 1st Hour/Advisory teacher.)Other Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 21909 Snow Ave.

"Wow - When I've gone to West Dearborn, I have always been incredibly impressed. Friendly people in the neighborhoods, a multi-faceted, top-notch restaurant scene, great community activities in music and stage theater, great community events such as Dearborn Homecoming, and pride in the neighborhoods, its schools and its connection to Ford Motor Company. You will hardly find a more charming or comfortable place to live. I would move there in a heartbeat, if offered a job there."
- Steinhagen

"This area is a combination of family homes and rental homes, a good place for pet lovers. Summer-Stephens Park is well utilized by kids, teens, adults and retirees in the area, especially the city pool, the playground and the baseball diamond and basketball court. All races and ethnic groups are represented in this busy neighborhood. We have been here for 11 years and can't imagine living anywhere else."
