I believe that respect is earned. I realize that it goes both ways, however, screaming and threatening does not work. The kids shut down and resist. This is true for anyone. I thought children were in school to learn to love to learn. Where is the enthusiasm for teaching and the healthy boundary setting for poor behavior? Is it unrealistic to expect better?
