5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf only other complaining parents would take time and post their experiences, this school would get the attention that it deserve > ONGOING INVESTIGATION!We moved from another state a couple of years ago and within weeks of my son starting school, his teacher diagnosed him with being frigidity, lacking attention span and too chatty. I addressed this and pretty much asked her to back off. They were not satisfied, so the school's counselor who was recently fired or transferred elsewhere, decided she would call my son's previous school to request "behavioral charts". My son's old school called me up to inform me and noted that they informed the counselor that a behavioral chart does not exit, everything that does exist were transferred the right way directly to the school AND that they are not releasing any information without my consent. This was a red flag for me. I addressed this with the counselor and Mrs Nazarro , who totally defended her staff and the staff denying it. According to the counselor, she called the school to ask what forms were needed to be filled out to make any requests needed. To date, we requested a transfer out of the school and it was approved within days, My son began saying that "life has to end" WHEN his classroom teacher announced to the classroom that he has Special Needs. It came about when his classmates asked why he had received so many "Eagle Tickets". My son and his friends stated that he does not have nay Special Needs, to the point where my son became very upset and in tears. At this point another staff was called in. When my son explained what had happened, she told him that he was a liar and that he would be one when he grows up. When my son came home and shared with me, I sent an email asking for an explanation of what had transpired, at what point had my son become diagnosed that I was not aware of. They met with me five days later, no urgency! An email was sent on a Thursday, (first week of school) and instead of receiving a reply from any of the four staff that were copied on it, my son came home the Friday to explain to me how the Assistant Principle, had questioned and yelled at him and told him that he is causing problems for the school. There is a subtle oppression happening at this school. The kids refer to the staff as bad cops. FYI, I hate the slogan "welcome to Montgomery County" that's all I hear smhParent Review4y ago - Ridgeview Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son graduated from QO last year, and our daughters attend currently, grades 12th and 9th. We absolutely love this school. The principal is amazing; so engaged with all student activities, creating an inclusive and dynamic environment for all. There is something for everyone here, with awesome sports, fantastic academic opportunities and all types of clubs available. The student population is diverse both racially and economically, which fosters acceptance and awareness. Communication from the school/county is fantastic. Sure, some issues arise now and again with poor student behavior or fights, but problems are immediately addressed and resolutions communicated to the parent and student populations. We moved back to Montgomery County several years ago, looking for a more diverse, progressive and inclusive community for our family and QO has given us exactly what we hoped for; I can't say enough good about this amazing local high school. Our kids have fun while learning every day at Quince Orchard High School! I highly recommend this school.Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 16620 Sioux Ln.
