"there's a dog fighting ring that likes to abduct dogs and fight them and spent money on them and sell drugs typically at the same time so I would say that it is not safe at all for dog owners."

"My commute is minimal because I work at Southeastern, which is one of the reasons I chose to live here. That being said, the traffic in Hammond is very seldom bad, so commuting around town is never an issue. Going to and from Baton Rouge can be a problem if travel times aren’t considered. "

"Full of drugs , a lot of young boys doing things that are not good for their lives, school system is so far behind you might as well home school then . The special education teachers do not do much with the children who are mentally or intellectually disabled . Resources are severely limited here and I wouldn’t advise anyone to move here , but a semi ok place to visit "
