9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve been a PGE family for almost 5 years now and I’m very pleased. They work hard teaching the kids compassion, respect and responsibility. Love our teachers! Open communication, innovative techniques, and they work hard to make learning fun. I’m also v Rey impressed with Bullitt Counties drive to push their students to excel. There are some split grade classrooms and pull out programs for gifted and talented. We couldn’t wish for anything better!Parent Review4y ago - Bullitt East High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBest school in Bullitt co. Morales, ethics, integrity. This school has it all, from it's amazing core values to it's caring teachers. It's a school not trying to fit any mold, only trying to mold students into becoming better future adults. This school could easily be a private school, as the education and value for learning would be charged anywhere else. Yet this school has somehow managed impeccably to remain a public school. I would move to the district, and recommend it, solely so your children can have the best of the best.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 203 Mills Ct.

What Locals Say about Shepherdsville
- Carolyn B.
- Resident

"Best to keep kiddos within the neighborhood! While it’s pretty safe, the main roads are busy and can have a lot of traffic. "
- Meggan O.

"You must have a car if you want to leave the city, we do have a small bus that comes very early but I’m not very familiar with it I’ve only seen it once or twice in the 30 years I’ve lived here. If you live close to town you can walk or ride a bicycle to almost everywhere in a matter of 10 min. "
- S M

"The schools in the county aren’t great for high school. The area closer to the “city” isn’t as nice as the outer areas. It is overall conveniently located in between Louisville and Elizabethtown for things to do. There are lots of places to eat but not as many places to do for fun unless you’re involved in the community heavily. Bullitt County is a great place to live if you want to be close to Louisville without living in Louisville. It is a nice place to raise a family if you find the right area."

"Friendly people country living close to everything. Small town feel on the out skirts of a big city with a country feel. Good schools."

"Many don't follow leash laws, but I've never met a mean dog. There also aren't any dog parks. Many apartments have dog walking areas though. "
- Jennifer D.

"I drive to Louisville every morning. The expressway is quick, but people drive crazy. If you’re not careful, you will be in a lot of traffic going north toward downtown Louisville if you leave later in the morning. "
- Paige L.

"don't let your kids walk the streets alone, cause the roads are usually pretty packed and dangerous. but we're all friendly and i know pretty much everyone in my neighborhood. we're pretty festive"

"we have high Halloween spirit, we love decorating and the owners give $200 to whoever wins. during the summer the church down the road comes to the front of the trailor park mailboxs n hands out free lunches n milk to the neighborhood kids. we also have a big area for kids to play basketball"

"Honestly it’s not a bad neighborhood. But I wouldn’t say it’s the best either. I think you need to be safe walking out of the house and all. A lot of walkers and people solicit near where I live and sometimes it’s nerve wracking. As for packages I believe a few of ours have been stolen."

"Over all the area is okay. It needs some renovating but the people here are quiet and keep to themselves, but if you talk to them, they’re nice. "
